Can:Do Group

Matthews Architects initially partnered with the Can:Do Group to develop the model for a future facility that would enable Can:Do to draw together its various services (Can:Do 4Kids, Deaf Can:Do and Can:Do Hearing) and strengthen their community.

Once a shared vision had been established, our team assisted Can:Do in searching for and evaluating potential locations. A suitable space was found and Matthews Architects were engaged as Architects and Interior Designers.

The recently completed facility includes more than 15 zones; including occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, mobility areas, auslan training, physical movement and play spaces, simulation spaces, sibling support, digital gaming, social cafe, barista training, training kitchen and staff areas.

Can:Do South covers 3,248m2 of floor space.
